Just when you thought we couldn't fit a single new thing into our apartment.......we went and bought a bookshelf. It fits in the area right behind our bathroom door; in the kitchen. :)

We put our food on it. I had this brilliant idea to record all the food we have on a list. Then we add or erase (with dry erase markers on the laminated list) the new food we purchase or the food we use. This way, if we need to use something, we don't have to empty the entire shelf looking for it and not find it. Instead, if we know we have it....emptying the shelf is worth it. It also helps us know what we run out of and need to buy. It has worked wonders!

I've been using my canner!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made lots of chicken noodle soup the other day and canned some of it. I haven't tried any, but it should be good.....the original soup was good before it got canned. I also was given a bag of pears. They didn't look very appealing to eat plain, so I canned them. We ate one can. They may have been slightly over-ripe when I canned them, but they have a delicious flavor. So tasty!!!!

I went and visited a friend who is on bed rest for the last part of her pregnancy. I took a craft for us to do. We made felt elephants and they turned out really cute, if I do say so myself.

A friend of mine taught me how to make these pumpkins. Now I have Halloween decorations for the inside of my house. (The witch mom made is on our front door!).

I'm also pretty excited because I've sold 3 booties and 1 hair clip at the consignment place. :) Now I need to make more booties to put out and hopefully sell. Next on my list is making a quiet book for Leah. It is going to be an ABC's book with something to do/touch/feel/play with on every page. I may post pages as I get them done, or you may have to wait a few months for the finished product. It just depends on how ambitious I am!!! :)

I want a quiet book for Charlie, but I'm not nearly crafty enough. Maybe you'll have to make two...
