First of all I just want all of my family to know that I love them!! I couldn't ask for better people that love me and care about me. I truly am blessed. I also want all of you to know that I have a testimony. I know that this church is true without a doubt in my mind. I know that President Hinckley is a prophet of God, and he did so much for the growth of this church. His contribution to the growth of the church is probably second only to Joseph Smith, in terms of latter-day prophets. I know them both to be men of God, who act and speak as representatives of Him. President Hinckleys excitement, dedication, and enthusiasm for life are a great example to me and I hope that I can be like him in those ways. The spirit is my constant guide which helps me through countless days and nights with my various struggles. I know that help is always there for me when I need it. I know that I am a child of God. I am so grateful for all of the help and support and comfort that I receive from each of you. I feel your prayers with me often. I also pray for each of you, that everything happening in each of your lives will happen with feelings of peace and joy.
Happy January 28th, Everyone!
I love you all!

I don't know what it is.......
I think I'm going through a slump. It's Friday night. I want a few hours of freedom and relaxation. The problems: I'm so far past exhausted that I can't fall asleep. I just went to the gym and I'm not in the mood to go again. Don't want to watch a movie. Don't have a book. Tired of looking at my computer screen. Want a break from homework. Not hungry. No friends. Nothing to do in Ephraim. No money to do anything with anyways. Does anyone have any suggestions about something to do in times like this. These are the times where I have to find a hobby because I get to sitting and thinking to long about things and I end up getting discouraged and depressed, stressed and overwhelmed, frustrated and annoyed. Bah!! I need something to occupy my brain. Ahhhhh!!!!!
Woah. Emotions are surfacing that I have never had before. I've just been talking to my roommate......she is practically engaged....or will be soon. I'm feeling frustrated towards her, even though she is one of my best friends, because I can't even have a normal conversation with her anymore. Everything is focused around this kid and how much she likes him, how much she misses him, how cute he is, what he said to her. I don't want to hear it any more. I'm happy for her. He's perfect for her. I just want her to be interested in me for 5 seconds without needing to text him about it. *sigh* I don't know. I guess I just need to grow up and deal with it. I'm sure it won't be the last time something like this will happen. It just makes me sad, and probably jealous, and I feel stupid about it. Grrrr.
Well, perhaps I will go swimming again. Something to do. Blah.
Hope everyone else's lives are running a little more smoothly than mine!
Good night!

Hi Everyone! I like this idea. I was feeling very distant and alone down here in little Ephraim Utah. There is nothing here except one WalMart, and the college. I guess that is a good thing, so that I don't get too distracted from my purpose here, but still....sometimes it's a little much!
To catch people up on me.....this semester I am taking English 2010, Psychology, Oceanography, Interpersonal Communications, PE 1096, Art History, Book of Mormon, and Courtship and Marriage. It's only been a week, but it's already a huge handful for me! It's fun, though. My roommates are fantastic. My teachers seem good. My room feels like home. The only thing I could ask for is a different bathroom. Number one, the door doesn't lock, so there is the possibility of people walking in. Number two, the bathtub is oddly shaped, and the way the faucet sits, you almost have to be standing outside of the bathtub to use it. Plus, the faucet sits about at the level of my forehead, so I have to sit down to shower. Oh well! Life can't be perfect, right?
If anyone has any tips on how to handle the stress load of college.....feel free to let me know!
I am also the Relief Society teacher in my ward and I taught the lesson today on the first vision. I had a lot of people participate, because the lesson was straight out of the JSH. It turned out really well, and I felt pretty good about it. As much as I don't like being in front of people....it went alright!
I went to a CES Fireside tonight where Earl C. Tingey told me not to delay on getting married!!! :) Haha! We will see how well I listen to the bretheren of our church! Mom says I have to wait 3-4 years, but I say that if I meet him I am not going to be engaged for 2 years just to make up that last time. Who knows? And, NO, there is no one right now....so you don't have to panic.
Well, my tummy say it's time for dinner.
Until next time......

My View of Remodeling
Posted by
Alex
Plain and simple I will state my view of remodeling like this: BUILD NEW! Remodeling isn't worth anything! I know that remodeling is the only way to go sometimes... however if you decide to ever do a remodeling project, take my advice on this one: Don't throw away old parts until you're sure the new ones work. I recently took on the huge project of remodeling our kitchen cabinets. I bought new hinges and figured we could make them work. Needless to say this project has been a lot harder than it was thought out to be. I have had a hard time getting the new hinges to go on right, and the old ones that we threw away are so old that there is no place in this world that they are sold. I must say that it would have been so much easier if we had just ripped out the old cabinets and installed new! Moral of this story: When faced with a remodeling project... DON'T DO IT! MAKE NEW!
