curly hair!!

I decided to curl my hair today. Don't ask me why I do it. It took nearly 2 hours....excluding the shower and time it took for it to dry. It's almost like a whole day event. And people like me just the same if I don't do it. Oh well! It was entertaining!
Now I get to pack up my car....wait til Alex gets off work in an hour....and come home! Hooray!!
I will see some of you soon!!! And talk to you all later!

Fun, fun, fun!!!

Well, my computer, or this website, have been being frustrating. I have been trying to post pictures of the wonderful artwork that Bree and I did last week, but it hasn't let me upload the pictures. You'll just have to imagine for a while how amazing out finger-painting skills are!!

Also, I gave a presentation in Communications about Compliance Gaining and Resisting. To open, I totally showed the clip from Flight of the Navigator. It made me so happy!!! The class thought it was great, too!! And I totally rocked my presentation. Completely had enough to say, my face didn't turn red, and I wasn't nervous at all. Hooray!

Tonight there is a free 'finals fun' barbecue put on by the school. Yay. Free food!! And there will also be a comedian. yay. Laughing!! And later tonight Alex's roommate is going to build a fire in the mountains so a bunch of us are going to have a party and we can roast marshmallows and have fun. Yay. Boys and treats!! And tomorrow I get to bring Alex home, so some of you will get to meet him. Yay. Meeting the family!!

Ok, I think that's all my excitement. It's nice to have some fun things mixed in with all the stress. I completely survived my insane week that I told you all about. And now I just have finals week left. Not much to do. Annie, I think I'm going to have you read my research paper this weekend...if you have time...so I can turn that in on Monday! And, yeah, other than that, I think the rest of the week should run pretty smoothly!!

Love you all! Hope you are having fantastic days. I sure am!!

Stories!!

First comes the story of my life:
Monday: Due: 5 papers, one research poster, two papers that I have to peer review, and a quiz.
Tuesday: Due: A 10 minute presentation, 3 page formal critique of a piece of art, another quiz.
Wednesday: Due: 10 page paper, an annotated bibliography, 2-3 research logs for Psychology.
Thursday: Due: A 2 hour extra credit project for English, my Art History final, and a quiz.
Friday: Due: An Oceanography test, and probably a quiz.
Then the next week I start finals week!! And we wonder why I feel stressed, and I'm getting sick, and I'm exhausted, and everything else! I think I have good reason to be!!!

Now comes the story that I didn't tell you earlier because it was too complicated:
Turns out that one of my best friends got in contact with my boyfriend and tells him things that should be entirely between Alex and I only. (And they have never met....this was all done through e-mail). The information was something that Alex would know eventually, but the time wasn't right yet, and it should have been a conversation that we went into without Alex knowing a whole bunch of background knowledge before hand. It makes me feel like I can't trust my friend any more, and it makes for a stupid situation when I talk to Alex about it. Duh!! I don't even know what was going through my friends head. It's alright, though. No major damage. Just stupidness and frustration. Oh well!! What's done is done, and Alex hasn't been weird about it, so I guess it's all ok.

And finally the story of another part of my life:
I am going to be leaving Wednesday, May 7th, and going to Weiser Idaho to ride horses with my friend Katie!! Then on Saturday, May 10th, I will be driving the rest of the way to Portland to spend my summer with Merilee (so, Merilee, that's when you can expect me!! And I'll probably need help finding my way through Portland and getting to your house!!). I get to help out with her kids, and her friends kids, and help out with whatever I can. Can anyone think of a better summer job? I think it's great!!

Hmmm....that basically concludes my stories. There are always more, but I think I will be done now.
G'night, everyone!

sigh

I just ran the mile and a half in 15:51 taking more than a minute and a half off of my beginning of the semester time of 17:27. Yay!! And now it is done. And I feel great. I like when I can actually see an improvement. Time wise, and that it was a whole bunch easier. Huzzah!!

I have a story that would be blog-worthy, but I'm afraid that I can't describe it. Too much complicated stuff in too short of a time, I don't even really know what happened or what to do about it. Lets just say that I hope it works out as well as it did in my brain, and I'll give you and update later.

Right now I am sitting in my Art History classroom, waiting half an hour before class will start. I didn't want to be in my room any more, so I decided to get here early and lo and behold there is wireless internet access in this room. Crazy! I thought we could only get internet at the library. Yes, all of you can laugh at how Podunk Ephraim is. I don't care. It's funny, and I like it! I will miss not being here this summer. Ephraim has become a little part of me.

2 weeks and 2 days until finals are over and I will be done for 4 months! Hooray! I registered for next semester today. I still need to talk to a councilor, but it'll work for now. At least I know that I am registered. Now I just need to work on getting a place to live. The landlord of where we want to live is really incompetent....which is probably a bad sign....but I know I need to live there, so we'll make it work.

Well, best of luck to everyone in all your endeavors.
Love you all!

HA HA!!

Ha! I totally got you!! That was SO funny. No, I am not engaged....yet. :) And I'm sure it will be a long time until I am. Specially because I am going to Oregon this summer to help Merilee. 4 months away is a long time. But it should be great! I'm thinking about stopping at my friends house in Weiser, Idaho on the way up! She owns horses, and would go riding with me. I think it would be so much fun. That's my game plan right now! Hooray! We'll see, though. I'm also trying to decide when the best time would be to leave. I am done with school Thursday, May 1. Perhaps go to Weiser the next Wednesday and the rest of the way to Portland on Saturday. Possibilities. Hmm!! I don't know. I do know that everything will work out how it's supposed to in the Lords time. It's just, sometimes I wish I knew what the Lord had in store for me and when! Oh well. One day at a time is how I'm facing everything right now. Any more than that and I get overwhelmed.
Love you all!

Surprise!

This may come as a shock to all of you, but last night around midnight, as Alex was walking me home, we were just talking and standing in front of my dorm, looking into each others eyes, and he all the sudden got really quiet for a while. I asked him what was wrong and he just kinda brushed it off for a while, but I knew he needed to say something. Eventually, he gathered himself together and, in a really darling and amazing way, asked me to marry him! I've prayed about it and had feelings recently that he's the one....so, I'm getting married!! We were talking about it this morning, and thought that it might be good to get married sometime next year. Maybe in April. Probably the first day!! April Fools, everyone! :) :)
