"Hi!!!!"

The title of this post comes from the word that I hear a hundred times a day!!!  Leah LOVES to walk around saying 'hi' to everything and wave to anyone and anything.  She knows, though, that when someone is leaving, or if we go out the door, she says, "Bye!!!" and waves again.  She is SO smart!!!  I love this silly pumpkin head.  She also goes and bangs on the door whenever I put my shoes on because she knows that if I get shoes on we are going outside.
Hanging out with me in the kitchen.

Running away from the kitchen.

Leah was helping me fold laundry and kept grabbing this shirt.  I put it on her and she wandered off happily!!  Silly kid.

Wearing momma's shirt and holding her special blanket.  What could be better?

This is caught mid-trip.  The next second she is face first on the ground!!

This is how Leah gets through the recliners.  Too funny!

Rubbing her eyes, but she looked pretty cute!

I asked Alex what I should do one Saturday and he suggested I take Leah to the zoo.  Good thing he did, because the zoo closed the next day and will open again next spring.  The Logan zoo is mostly an aviary, but has a few other things.  Leah liked to point to all the animals!!

Peacock!!  We watched it jump/fly up onto that cage.  They are huge.

Pointing to ducks.

Pointing to more ducks.  Duck food was 10 cents from a dispenser machine, so I got some to lure the ducks closer.  Leah thought that was the greatest thing!!!

Pretty duck!

Basically the only picture I took over Thanksgiving!!  I need to be better at taking pictures.

Reading stories.  She LOVES books.  And she's pretty careful about reading paper ones by herself and not ripping them. :)

Last night I put Leah to bed at 8:30.  At 9:30 this morning I still had not heard from her, so I opened her door to check.....this is what I found!!  Silly kid.  That can't be comfortable!!

She loves playing with this toy.  I thought for sure she'd be able to do some of the lever ones first.....nope, she can do the one that twists.  That's pretty coordinated if you ask me!!!

Carrying it around wanting me to open all of them again!!
Well, that's all for now.  We have 2 1/2 weeks left of the semester and then we might get to have a little bit more fun.  For right now, though, Alex does school, homework and work ALL day long.  I have tried to keep busy going to the moms institute classes, our walking/exercise group for moms in the ward, doing projects, and taking naps when Leah naps.  Lately she's taken a 3 hour nap every day.  That means I can get a nap and get something done!!!
Just one more week (and a day) until we find out whether this next little peanut is a boy or girl.  Can't wait!!  And hopefully just one more week of feeling lousy.....with Leah I was sick until 18 weeks.  Next week is 18, so I'm hoping I'll feel better after.  It's much more fun to feel good than to feel icky!!  Not too bad, I just get gaggy at different smells and don't quite feel like myself.
Also, we haven't really talked a lot about it, but one day we asked Leah, "Where's the baby?" and she pointed to my tummy!  So cute!  She knows and understands a whole lot more than we give her credit for.  She can do about 10 animal noises (dog, fish, elephant, cow, horse, lamb, owl, monkey, cat....).  She also says hi, bye, ball, WOW, ahh (for uh oh), and oh (being surprised or frustrated)!!  And my other favorite thing is when we ask her to love her dolly, she'll grab it, stick it in her arm, and pat its head with her other hand.  Pretty cute!!!
I love the way she says "Wow" in this video!!  Enjoy!
