Leah's Birthday!!!

This past week, Leah turned 1.  I don't know where this past year went!  We absolutely love this baby girl.

I was sewing one night....working on projects for her party.  She wasn't very fussy,  just crawling around not knowing what to do.  Then she all the sudden put her head down and fell asleep!!

This is frequently her smile.  The scrunchy nose is hilarious.

Daddy taught her how to open the doors on this toy.  It is very fun!

She also knows how to blow through the recorder and make noise.

Daddy took Leah on a date to the park so Mommy could get some sewing done in peace!!

She loved eating the bark chips.

Leah will crawl up this step by her bed and sometimes gets stuck there.  This time she took a book and sat there for about 5 minutes reading it.

She didn't really like to get messy.  She was very delicate in picking at the frosting.  We ended up shoving her hands into it so she'd get more messy.

She was SO wiggly for so many people.  Finally we stuck her on my grandpa's lap and she sat there (CALM) for about 5 minutes!!

Thank you to everyone who came to Leah's birthday party and made it great!!!!  She sure is spoiled and has so many people that love her!!!  :)  Leah had her 1 year doctors appointment.  She is 20 lbs.  28.5 inches tall.  Growing so fast!!!  She is such a fun and silly baby.  She makes us laugh every day.  Happy Birthday, sweet Leah!!!  :)

HAIR

So, 2 days ago I got this crazy idea that I might want to cut my hair.  I asked Alex if I should do it.  He said, "If you do, you can't complain to me if you hate it."  We compromised and I said that I'd only complain for a week.  This is how my hair started out........

Well, I suddenly decided that, Yes, I would do it.  If I was going to chop my hair off, I wanted to at least donate it.  More than 15 inches later.....

They kind of styled it for me when they cut it, but I was covered in little bits of hair, so I had to shower when I got home.  I wanted to see what it looked like air dried (because I'm a pretty lazy person when it comes to hair and don't want to ALWAYS take time to do it).  It turned out like this.....

Alex said, "Why would you need to do it if it turns out like that air dried.  It looks great!"

And so, I don't even think I need to complain for one day.  I like my short hair.  And the person who cut my hair actually did the swoopy bangs....no one has been able to do that to my hair before!!  It's fun!!
