WOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Alex and I are both admitted to the U!!!! Hooray!! We've been stressing over that for a long time, and we just got the news of Alex's acceptance today. Yay. And, our housing situation for up there should work out because Alex's niece said that 4-5 apartments were open in her complex (the one that we applied for). It's working out!!
Other news........I GOT A 4.0!!! Yeah. That's exciting!!
Well, yeah, that's been exciting today.
Love you all!

11 December 2008

Wow intense!

I am now nearly completely finished with finals! I only have one more tomorrow and it is a pizza party... shh... it's really "a final" as they call it. I'm pretty excited. Yesterday was the most intense day of finals as it was full of 3 hard ones... Biology, Philosophy, and Art History. I think I pretty much got 100% on my art history one, but ouch the others didn't seem as well. To top those finals off I had the Drawing finals that were due today but that meant they had to be finished by today (7am) and that kept me up pretty late! Talk about bing, bang, boom but yeah they all had to hit the same day. I've sold almost all of my textbooks already so that's a nice plus! I listed them around Friday of last week because I thought they would be slow to sell. I even placed them lower in the list (more money) yet people seem to like to buy my books. I sold my Biology book on Sunday and Architecture on Monday... and the others I don't remember when but yeah... they sold fast. Maybe it's my seller name (runningforacause) and the way I bluntly list things the way they are so it's obvious that a person really wrote them. Cool, cool, cool.

I'll have to post pictures of my art finals somtimes even though they don't look that good and Kristen did a better job on her skeleton than I did.

Wow now there's so many other things to do that are stressful.

Gas is now $1.54 in Ephraim! Wow that's $2 less than it used to be about a month ago. What's the deal with that? I like it though!

Christmas!!

Alex and I were some of those crazy people that goes to WalMart at 5 o'clock in the morning. Since we were in Moroni, we had to drive almost half an hour to get there!! Therefore, we woke up at 4:15, and were there at 4:44. The line went all the way from the doors, across the whole parking lot, and into the street. We just kinda made ourselves comfortable in the middle of the parking lot.
When the doors opened at 5, there was an insane mad dash everywhere. Everything was out of control, and insanity. It was pretty entertaining, because we didn't really care if we got stuff, but there were things we were looking for. We ended up finding everything we went for, though, and it was way fun.
We got a GPS,
500 GB External Hard Drive,
Spiderman 1 DVD
Spiderman 2 DVD
A Beautiful Mind DVD
A nice fleece-lined jacket for each of us,
Granola Bars,
And Juice.
All for just barely $200.
We felt pretty satisfied with our experience and, after taking a nap, had fun playing with all of our new toys. The GPS is fantastic!! We have been having a lot of fun with it today. It has felt like Christmas.....and that's a good thing, because it is our Christmas!!
Fun times!! I don't really recommend going to any store for Black Friday.......but it was fun, and Alex has never done it before!!
:)

The artistic side of me?

I think I just keep getting more and more amazed at my skills in drawing. I just keep getting better and the things I draw are starting to look more real (at least I think). At least you can tell what they are! We've worked with charcoal a lot lately so here's some of my latest charcoal works:

^I think this little toy is my favorite one of all.^

So I put it on!!

So, it wasn't until around dinner time that I realized that I had a TON of smells on me today!! We made a list, and I thought it was funny.
1. Ocean Breeze...............................My hair was dirty, I found shampoo and conditioner, so I put it on!!!!
2. Pomegranate and Mango..........I was dirty, I saw body wash, so I put it on!!!
3. Pearberry Boost.........................I had fly-away hair, conveniently I have hairspray, so I put it on!!!
4. Cucumber Mellon......................After going potty I always wash my hands, there was yummy soap, so I put it on!!!
5. Pear Blossom.............................My face was really dry eariler, so Alex grabbed the nearest lotion and put it on for me!!
6. Blue (Perfume)..........................I have this little blue bottle of perfume that Alex likes a lot. It has a flowery smell, wears off after a little while, but it makes him happy, so I put it on!!
7. Warm Vanilla Sugar.................I was clearing out my make-up box (we did a major house cleaning job today) and I found the yummy body spray, so I put it on!!
8. Vanilla Raspberry....................Again, I was cleaning up a mess I'd made a few days ago when going through a bucket of random things that don't have a place. I found more yummy body spray, so I put it on!!
9. Tropical Passionfruit...............My hands were cracked and dry, I found the lotion that was nearest to me, so I put it on!!!
10. Spearmint................................My lips hurt real bad, Alex had chapstick in his pocket, so I put it on!!!
11. Natural Body Pheromones........".........so I put it on?"

Pictures!!!

The CD with all of our wedding pictures came today! We had a fun time looking through all of them. Yay. Here are a couple that we really like. :) Oh, if any of you have any pictures......If you could e-mail them to me, or something. Since the photographer wasn't in South Jordan we don't know of any pictures from that reception. If there are any out there somewhere!!!....We'd like them.

Anyways, here are some pictures! We're so cute!!
Ew. We're kissing!!! :) Jk. That right there is documentation of our first kiss as husband and wife!! How cute!
Just look at that 'stud' that I married!! Who could resist that cute face?
Ok, I admit, his wife isn't half bad either!! :)
Annie, I finally realize what you meant when you said the back wasn't working out right. It's ok. It still looks cool!!!

I think this one is one of our favorites!!! We are TOO cute sometimes!! :)

Yay my Husband!

Alex brought me flowers last Saturday to ask me to the Institute Snowball Dance. (And just to be cute and cuz he loves me!!!)
So, on Friday we went to the dance!! Yay. Alex says he looks fat in this picture......he really isn't!

31 October 2008

Are we weird?

1. We don't want a new car because that equals monthly car payments.
2. We spend our store credit on stamps so we can send 'thank you' cards.
3. We don't dress up for Halloween because it's dumb.
4. We don't spend our money on dumb things like haunted tunnels.
5. We don't like to stay out and party until all hours of the night.
6. We'd rather be with each other than in a crowd of people.
7. We don't like school dances/stomps/whatever they are.
8. We walk out of comedian shows at the first sign of inappropriacy.
9. We bargain for any discount we can get.
10. We didn't ever have to 'take a break' from each other.

I love my husband!!!
And he loves me!!!

Hello?

Did anyone even notice that my blog is cooler now?!!!! That it's BRIGHT ORANGE?!!!! And has a cool name thing on the top?!!!!
Thanks to Alex I no longer have a pre-made blogger site. It's all custom designed with love and everything!
Those who haven't should go to his site, too.........www.alexchristensen.blogspot.com.......we're going to make one together one of these days, but for now we still have our own and he'd like comments!!
Good night, everyone!

54 Pieces of Pyrex can't go wrong!

Kristen and I recieved so much Pyrex for our wedding that we have decided it is way too over-rated! We had such a mountain of it that we thought it would be fun and even funny to take a picture of it all before we returned some of it.A great mountain of PyrexI don't think this picture really shows the mountain very well but there are 54 pieces and I think we even missed one of our other ones that is in the kitchen cabinet still. We think Pyrex is fancy and great, but yes definitely over-rated! It was nice to be able to get about $80 from half of the pyrex that we returned to Wal-mart. We still have more to return but that was a start.

Married Life!!!

So, it's almost been a week. Crazy!!! Sometimes I don't even think it's real; that the whole things is just a dream and I'll wake up from it later. But then I do wake up, and Alex is next to me, and it's one of the most wonderful feelings anyone could ever have. And that I get to have him FOREVER!!!!.....That's even better.
It is kinda rude that we had to go back to school on Monday. The weekend wasn't quite long enough. But that's ok. Today, for my art class homework, I had to draw a brown paper bag. If I can get my camera working I'll post a picture of it, because (if I don't say so myself) it looks pretty dang good!!! We are working on values, so the brown paper bag is all shaded in and everything and the crease marks look really awesome. I like that I am to the point that I can actually draw something and people would be able to tell what it is!!! That makes me happy.
Well, this is about all the time I have. I neeed to go study for a 'courtship and marriage' test. Oh boy. Aren't I living the test now? jk!! :)
Love you all. Thanks for everything you did and helped with last weekend. And thank you all for coming. It was really neat to have everyone in the sealing room together. It was like a reminder that all of us are sealed together as family for all of eternity!! I'm only sorry that I wasn't able to spend more time with all of you. But that's how life goes. It was great to see everyone!!
Talk to you later!

I'm getting married!!! I'm getting married!!!

So, this is the only five seconds that I have this week. Honestly, I am so busy, and the only reason I have a minute is because I'm waiting for lunch to cook. Alex and I are both super jam-packed with things to do. And I feel really bad for him because he also has a few huge architecture assignments and a biology test. On top of that we are going to the Manti temple this afternoon, exchanging my big garments, scanning pictures, making a scrapbook, finding music for background and dancing, making sure things go together....all that on top of going to our many classes.....and trying to find time to move me into his house. Hmm!! Today and tomorrow are insane, and I'm sure Thursday will be pretty crazy too, but fun!! I'm so excited. And if things don't come together......oh well!! It will be fantastic!!
Well, lunch is ready now. Gotta go.
Love ya!

Something... lots of somethings

I must say that shoplifters are dorks! Yesterday at work we caught a really stupid one... He had two stupidities that were really big... one he used a credit card with his name on it, and two he was on camera. This David Huntington shoplifter guy thought he was being smart when he picked up a $15 flashlight from the counter after making his purchases to "see it." He made the motions of putting it back but then palmed it and stuffed it in his pocket. What a dork. My co-worker who was with me that day he robbed it had noticed that when we opened the store there were two of them but later in the day there was only one and we didn't sell one. Yeah anyways... we got looking at the computer stuff and times proved it was him. When we looked at the computer system we also noticed that it must have happened some other 6 times apparently... but we caught David because my co-worker made a good mental note. 'Mmm tasty rat!' says the Boa

On Thursday Kristen and I got to see a Boa Constrictor eat a pretty big rat! That was really cool. The rat went walking around in the boa's cage as if nothing were wrong and then he realized he was snatched up and being killed to be eaten by the snake... it was really cool.
Kristen and I with President and Sister Call
On Friday we went to my mission reunion and well that was fun and interesting to see some of the old missionaries. It was a great experience.

I have to admit that one of my biggest pet peeves right now is when people ask, "When's the 'big day'?" Any day can be a big day if you make it one... it's like they are afraid to say "when is your wedding?" I really wish that people didn't have a fear of the words 'wedding' and 'marriage' as they seem to have. I think is is plain dumb that people say 'big day'. Anyways I will quit on that one even though I could go on for a million years... just please don't be one of those people who asks anyone "When's the big day?"

I love General Conference. Some of my other pet peeves are those people who come to church in colored shirts instead of white ones... especially returned missionaries. What did they not learn or not teach?! Go conference for reminding people that we wear white shirts for a reason. Another pet peeve is those people who bring their phones to church and don't bother to turn the sound off at least... it is a killer of the spirit and anyways... go conference for the reminder to people that cell phones aren't life and don't belong in church!

I'm a Genius!!!

First of all, I got my temple recommend today!!! All is set and I'm so excited.
Second of all, Alex and I went down to his sisters house for dinner tonight. After dinner we played Clue. The game got all set up, there were 4 of us playing. Our cards were passed out (and I had 5 clues). We each took a turn, but none of us rolled high enough to get into any rooms. I finally got into the Lounge, guessed Mr. Green with the Candlestick. No one could prove me wrong. I totally won the game on the first guess. I'M A GENIUS!!! Shortest game of Clue I've ever played. It was fanatastic!!

Official Update!!!!

I am feeling SO good today!!!!!
Reasons:
1. It's Friday!!!
2. I'm going on a date tonight!
3. I'm officially done with Accutane as of last night!!
4. Being on Birth Control makes my girly time so much easier, nicer, and less uncomfortable.
5. There are deer that come and visit us quite often in the back yard of Alex's apartment.
6. I get my temple recommend on Sunday.
7. 15 days until I get to go through the temple.
8. 20 days until I get married.
9. My classes are going great.
10. I'm all the way on top of my homework.
11. General conference is coming up.
12. It's totally the weekend and I will have time to do homework without being stressed about it, and I get to play with Alex, and have fun!!!!!
It's great.
Love you all,
Kristen

A little update

Yeah... I know it's been forever since I have said anything about the cool or fun things I've done. Maybe nobody has noticed... but that's okay. Basically school keeps me busy. There are some pretty busy classes that I have and most of them are just busywork ones. That kinda reminds me that I was going to post my schedule but never did... so here that is too:
My busy schedule
If you can't tell my lingo of shorthand I'm sorry... it gives you an idea anyways. Human Biology and Architecture/drafting are the classes which keep me running a lot... I have a test in both of them today which I should be studying for... I will do that right when I'm done with this little update.... Gotta love my Friday schedule!

So one of the fun things that I did recently was getting engagement pictures taken. There are way too many cute ones and I put some of them on a slideshow up in the left corner of this page if you haven't noticed yet. Here's how our announcement turned out: (notice the background)

You're invited!Well I better get back to studying!

Engagements!

Woah. It finally worked. I've been trying to upload pictures FOREVER!!!.....But my computer, and Alex's computer were being dumb and not letting me do it. Anyways, here are some of our favorites. Annie took our pictures for us and we ended up with 38 favorites. It was really hard to narrow it down to what to put on our invites. We're just TOO cute!!!

I like that when you're taking engagement pictures (and at our wedding) people expect us to kiss in public!! :) And I know that the lady with the baby in the background will be cut out when we actually would display this one!!! But what can you do?
Thank you Annie for taking such good pictures for us. I'm excited to see what your camera can do for my bridals and at my wedding. We like having lots of cute pictures of us!! :)

As for other news, I started school again. I'm taking Courtship and Marriage, Choir, Teachings of the Living Prophets, Business Management and Accounting, Art History, Drawing 1, Social Dance 2, Book of Mormon, Philosophy, and Friday Forum. 17 school credits, 5 institute credits. Most of it is fun, but I still have my hands full.....that on top of planning my wedding and making sure everything works out, worrying about how everything is going to work out after the wedding (school, housing, paying for everything, etc). Life is crazy and overwhelming a lot of the time, but at least I will have my best friend with me from now on!! That makes things a whole lot less stressful just knowing that he'll be with me too!!
Oh, Merilee, I should have listened to you before I got in too far.....Philosophy is the ONLY class that I don't like this semester. Everything else is good and has great teachers, but Philosophy is absolutely boring, pointless, and dumb. The teacher talks monotone the whole time, and he goes off on these random tangents that don't have to do with anything. I don't even know how to follow anything he's trying to say. At least Alex is in that class with me so we he can know what I'm going through and we can complain about it together and try to get each other to pay attention long enough to get something out of the lecture. Yeah. That's pretty much a waste of a class!!! :)
Um, yeah, I'm thinking that's everything to catch people up on the last 2 weeks. I'm just busy with a million things, and no, I'm not too busy kissing all the time......we do other things besides kiss!!! :) Kissing just makes having to do all the other things a lot more fun. jk.
Love you all!! See you all in 6 weeks and 4 days!!!

Shower Project Finished!

Before Ever since I was a young boy I had wanted to finish the shower downstairs that my brother had started to remodel. I started on it a little bit before I went on my mission but only got as far as ripping the old concrete out from around the drain. This summer I decided it was time to finish my bathroom and do something about it! I have done everything on that bathroom from the gutting it out after our basement flooded a few years Afterback, to finish as it now looks! It's a project to be proud of. I even put in some new wiring to have a light above the mirror and a receptacle by the sink. Tile, door, lights, paint... everything, you name it! I did it!

It feels so nice to have it done. Looks professional if you ask me! Too bad I won't be around to use it very often now.
9 Aug 2008

Jarom is funny!

Merilee was getting Jarom dressed for church today and he started grabbing a regular shirt. She said, "No, we need to put your church clothes on." He starts throwing a little fit and says, "No, no. If I have my church clothes I can't bend over.".........I guess it can be a problem sometimes!!!

P.S. Don't forget to check my other posts!! I just added more!

What a great and fantastic day!!!

Yesterday I took an adventure all over Portland!! Thank you MapQuest!! I first drove out to the Five Oaks building where I met one of my high school friends who is on a mission here. He is coming home in 3 months, so he asked me if I could take something home for him. We chatted for a few minutes. Kinda weird to see him! After that I went and picked up Natalie and we went to Jamba Juice. As we were leaving the neighborhood I saw Jelly Bean. He's still around!!!! Probably 15 years old now, and very cute!! We wandered around for a while and then went back to her house and watched a funny tv episode of one of her favorite shows. It was fun to see their family again. It's been SO long.
What a cute kitty!!!

The temple was gorgeous!!
And the flowers were gorgeous, too!

After I went to Natalie's house, I stopped at Ron's. We talked for a long time! It was fun to see them again. She didn't recognize me at first, but then remembered. Ron knew me right off.

After the trip to Bluegrass Downs, I drove over to the temple and took lots of pictures. Then I went over to the Holmans. It was fun to see them again. We watched some of the Olympics!! I almost forgot that the Olympics were even happening this year. I kinda like watching them. I particularly like gymnastics, but I will probably end up not watching them. Oh well!! It's a pretty neat event. And in the 10 minutes that I watched, 3 world records were broken. Crazy!! I don't see how people can keep getting that much faster. Woah!!

Well, that was a fun day. I stayed the night at the Holmans, and then drove back to Merilee's this morning. I just have 4 more days in Oregon. I'll be glad to get back to Alex and to the new stresses of school. I can't quite decide what would be better......Ezra crying and Jarom whining, or doing homework every day. Hmmm!!! I think both situations have their ups and downs. I guess it's just the next stage of life and I'm really looking forward to it!!!

Love you all!!!
Kristen

06 August 2008

Oh boy!

This was about 20 minutes before Alex proposed. We were almost to the top of Dizzy Rock. Alex was going to propose up there, but decided against it because I was pretty nervous because of previous hiking experiences that day. I think he was pretty smart!! After we had done some wedding planning a few days later, we decided that we wanted our colors to be White, Orange, and Yellow. Notice the clothes we wore the day we were engaged. Funny, huh?

This is the day 1 of being engaged. We hiked up to the Timpanogos caves. When we were in the caves there is a time when they turn off all the lights so you can see what absolute darkness actually is. The guide asked us if anyone had a diamond ring so he could shine a laser in it and see the sparkle on the ceiling. One lady said, "Yeah, I have one." And I piped up, "I got one yesterday!!!!!" Needless to say, we used mine. And it sparkled nicely! :) Alex chose well. I think my ring is gorgeous!
Here's just a cute picture in a rock on the Timpanogos hike. We liked it!

And here is my ring!!!!!!

Mom said I needed a new post, so here it is!! I have a funny story, too! I was standing up, or something, and said, "Man, I'm getting old." Jarom says, "You're not old. Your skin is still flat!!" I guess that's the view of a 4 year old. Old people are wrinkly!!! :)

24 July 2008

Thanks Everyone!!!

Thank you all for jumping in and helping with everything! I know it's 3 months away and shouldn't be stressful yet, but believe me, I'm carrying my fair share of stress. There are so many things to think about, plan, talk to people about, change, call, etc. It never ends, and I'm sure it will never get easier. But thank you everyone for all your suggestions and willingness to do anything. It's not everyday that I get to be engaged and get married!!! And it is very fun. I only wish that I could be with Alex so we could still date instead of being limited to phone conversations every night. Somehow that doesn't quite cut it.
I love you all!!
Thank you!!

I'm Engaged!

On Tuesday I went to Salt Lake to buy a wedding ring for Kristen. On Sunday I talked to her dad and she never found out because she was occupied with other things. It was perfect! She knew nothing about it. I went to her house on Saturday after work and we went to Amy's wedding reception. I was asked there by Amy and her mother when this [getting married] was going to happen for Kristen and I. I couldn't help but have a blank stare and not say anything because I knew what I was going to do. We went hiking today and I had wanted to hike to a cave up Maple Canyon but we could not find the trail. After not finding it we decided that we weren't on the right trail and that we should go back and hike up to Dizzy Rock (where I was going to propose to her). When we had made it to the top Kristen felt really nervous and worried because she had slipped on the way up and we were up there really high! We sat up there for a good while and I decided that it would not be a good idea to propose in that moment considering the way she was shaking. I waited until we were at the bottom. I took her to see the hieroglyphs that are there, and we looked for the boot prints in a rock. (Legend has it that some cowboy was chased by indians over the edge of Dizzy Rock.) After not finding the rock we went over to a grove of trees. I asked her if she had ever thought of spending an eternity with me. She said yes and said that she was going to ask me on top of Dizzy Rock if she could have me forever. I started digging in my pocket for the ring... it seemed to not want to come out, but it did. I then got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She said yes, and there's the history. We are planning on getting married in the Manti Temple on 16 October 2008.

I'M ENGAGED!!!

Hey flamie!!! Everyone asks for the details, but I've told the story so many times that the story gets shorter and shorter!!! Here we go:
We were hiking up Maple Canyon today and we ended with a hike up Dizzy Rock. It is very properly named in that it did make me pretty dizzy to stand up there. Luckily I had a big strong Alex with me to protect me!! And he did a good job of it, too. There were times where I thought I was going to seriously injure myself (or him), but we made it back safely! At the bottom of the mountain we were looking at hieroglyphs and also looking for a rock that had boot prints in it. We couldn't find the boot, but we conveniently found our way into a little grove of trees. There we were hugging and such (because I was glad to have both of my feet safely back on solid ground....and thanking him for getting me there safely). Anyways, he asked me if I had ever thought about spending an eternity with him. I said yes, and he got down on one knee and pulled out a beautiful ring and asked me to marry him!! I said yes again!! And then we commensed hugging and kissing again, but you probably don't want to hear about that part!!! :)
The funny part.....while we were up on top of Dizzy Rock, we were sitting for a while, looking out at the cliffs and the beautiful scenery and I was thinking that I wanted to ask him, "Can I have you forever?" Luckily I held my tongue for 10 more minutes!! :)
Pictures to come later!!
Much love to everyone!

Recent Findings

About a week ago I was reminded somehow that smartkid@gmail.com is one of my email addresses. I hadn't checked it for so long... a few years at least. I was really surprised to find a few thousand messages in my inbox. Many of them were spam of course but I also found a few curious emails. Some kid named Nick apparently thought that it was his email address and told his friends etc. I had various emails from his friends saying that he should check his email or that they had sent some email many times and they were getting frusterated that he wasn't receiving them. Others were from his school. I hope those weren't important. Anyways I thought it was pretty funny that not just Nick thought that smartkid@gmail.com was their email address. I'm the only one with the password though! I also have a million other email addresses that I don't really use anymore... I would list them but what's the point? I think it's kinda funny. Oh, and if you send me something at the smartkid address... don't expect me to reply back to it ever!

Yesterday I found out that I am being used at the place where I work. I had sensed it for some time but my findings yesterday confirmed it. I am making the same amount per hour as the new kid they just hired in the lumberyard. I asked my boss for a raise and he told me that they would look into it. In my mind I told myself that I would look into another job if that's the answer! They would really suffer without me because they already are suffering from a shortage of employees. I know all of the codes for the computer and I can speak Spanish on top of that... why am I making the same as the new kid? I was supposed to get a raise, and what I'm making now was supposed to be the starting wage. Anyways, I went on a nice long 6.5 mile run after work to try and relieve some stress. It was a very nice run.

Update
I opened my paycheck today and found a $1/hr raise! Yay. I can now feel a lot better about working hard knowing that I'm getting something more for my work.

We play outside in the sprinklers a lot. Ezra likes to eat the balls instead, but he's sure cute!
Jarom was worn out from a fun day at Dinosaur Camp......
Or shall we say utterly exhausted?..........
Or how about completely plum tuckered?...... :)

He always pulls off the weather stripping, but he almost listens if you say "No no" a million times!!!

Recent Lessons Learned (or re-learned)

Ouch it really hurts Today I learned that a 2X10X16 can do a lot of pain to a toe through a shoe. Rusty, my co-worker and I were pulling an order and he dropped the board and that caused it to slip out of my hands and whack right down on my toe. I'm really surprised that it doesn't look as bad in the pictures as it really does in person. Yeah, it is pretty Aren't you glad it was my toe and not yours?crazy. It hurts to walk on it and is most annoying because I can't go running right now and I want to.

Yesterday I learned that cars like water just as much as humans. Well not quite, but my car was overheating and I couldn't figure it out for a few days because I noticed that the overflow tank was full. Somehow the tank wasn't pumping the water into the radiator and it needed a gallon of water. I don't blame it for the hot weather we have had lately.

Concrete can be sanded... now that is pretty amazing. Diamond sand paper is cool stuff. My cousin helped me pour a shower base for my shower in my bathroom that I have been remodeling. He let me borrow some cool diamond sand paper to smooth out the rough edges. Concrete in and of itself is amazing because you can build just about anything out of it.

Sanding makes dust! I think that one is self explanitory.

Tile sticks really well! To install the vanity in my bathroom I had to remove one piece of tile that I put in... yeah it stuck so well that it left a hole in the wall. That was okay though because the vanity hides it all. I was amazed at the power of the thinset. I will have to post pictures of my cool bathroom soon! Maybe when I get it finished.

On Wednesday I learned that housing isn't stable. The landlord of the place where I was going to live next semester called me up and said that I should come by his house to get a refund because they had decided not to rent the place out this whole coming school year. Now I need to find new housing. It shouldn't be that hard though.

Scholarship application deadlines were forever ago... but at least I still have a chance for them and they let me turn the application in way late.

Grass always grows. Clothes don't "self wash." Bob, our truck driver always says, "Smile, it confuses the enemy." Someone made the most true statement that I heard recently: They said that prIde ruins man. When prIde is in anyones life they start creating enemies and cause fights and lots of problems. A person must always think of others first in everything. I could go on forever but I think I will stop now.

Random Pictures and My Birthday!!!

Wrestling and having fun with Momma!!!
A little blurry, but darling. He's a cute kid.
Jarom is a cute kid, too!!

Random picture of me one day!

Merilee made a really pretty pot of flowers next to the front door. She cut out the grass and put down gray bricks underneath it. Looks great and adds a fun touch to the house.
These are the coolest flowers we've seen. Kind of like daisies, but the end of the petals are spoon-shaped. Very cool. And they close up all nifty at night!
Miniature Fushas. They are so cute!!
Notice the perfect hand print of chocolate on his head? This is the aftermath of eating my birthday cake. Yum!!Just looking cute!Dylan had a fish cake with sushi around it for his birthday!Jarom got funny stickers to make a goatee. Awesome, dude!Eating the batter from my birthday cake! So cute!

This is the retaining wall that Lance built!!
Cute Ezra riding a trike at the church's bike derby. This is my favorite picture ever. The look of mischevity. I love it!

Well, my birthday was filled with me being sick, babysitting a lot, and doing Merilee's hair for her.....(she'll help me do my hair some other day, but it got late before we could do both of us)! But other than that, it was great. I like being able to say that I am 19. In my last year of teenage-hood! Hooray. And today it was sunny and warm and gorgeous. I like sunlight. What fun!! I am looking forward to going to Seattle next weekend and meet Elizabeth. And then going to Salt Lake the week after to see all of that family. I sure miss seeing Cade and Brennan and EmmaRay every Sunday (and inbetween). And I am excited to see Alex again. It's been hard being away from him for so long. Sigh. Talking on the phone every day just doesn't quite cut it. Oh well. One day at a time and everything will be done eventually! And prayers always help. Everything will be fine. And I'm gonna enjoy my last year of being a teenager!!!

Thanks for all talking to me on my birthday. That was fun!! Yay. We shouldn't need excuses like birthdays to talk to everyone, though.....I feel left out sometimes!! I don't know anything that's going on! Yikes! Ha ha!!
Good night!
