March 31st I woke up having pretty strong contractions for 2 hours. Then they went away. When Alex got home from work, we picked up the dirt plugs from our front yard (which had been aerated), and the contractions started again. 5 minutes apart for an hour and a half. We decided to head to the hospital about 8:30 pm. We were monitored for a while (I was at 5 cm and my water started leaking), they decided to check me in, got my epidural and I was a 7+. An hour and a half later I was still at 7+ and my contractions were slowing down, so they gave me one dose of pitocin. Soon after, I felt the contractions pick up and my water broke all the way. Very soon after that I felt like I was ready. Sure enough, I was complete, so they called the doctor. He got there maybe 10-15 minutes later. I pushed for less than 20 minutes and had our sweet baby!!! She was born at 2:41 am on April 1st. 8 lbs 10 oz. 20.5 inches long. After lots of deliberating, we finally decided on naming her Cambri Shay Christensen. Welcome to the family, sweet Cambri!!!

| It was hard to ever get her asleep for pictures. She is a very alert baby. And only likes to sleep when she is held. The minute you put her down, she starts grunting and making horse or pterodactyl noises! |
