Pictures!!! Enjoy!!!! I have also written the entire story in the previous post for those of you who are interested. It's pretty detailed for my records, but some of you might enjoy it.
Here I am just finding out that we are actually going to have our baby within the next day.

It's going to be a c-section, so Alex got ready in his scrubs. Because everything happened so fast, we didn't have time to get nervous. I thought that around week 39 we'd start freaking out a little bit, but instead, HELLO, now we have a baby!!!

Leah Sage Christensen
5 lbs 9 oz
18" long

Just out of my tummy, getting all cleaned up.

It took a while to get a real 'family' picture, since they took her to the NICU so fast. This was my first trip down to visit her. And we finally had our real camera now, because Alex ran home to grab some essentials. Who knew I'd need the 'hospital bag' packed 4 weeks early?

All of the things she was hooked up to. Poor baby! She was in the NICU a total of 40 hours. Not bad for being 4 weeks early. We are so grateful that she is so healthy!!

Welcome to the world, Leah. This is when she's finally in our room with us. No more monitors for either of us. Just the ability to spend time together and loving every second and every little thing about her.

The world can be a difficult place, but her face and cry are so cute!! :)

Yay, we get to have her in our room with us and she gets some quality Daddy time. Thank you, Alex, for all you did to help me get sleep, keeping me updated on how our baby was doing in the first few hours, taking care of me, helping me in and out of bed, and doing everything I needed. I know it wore you out and you got as little (or less) sleep than I did, but I sure appreciate everything you did to help get our precious daughter here.

My gorgeous gown!! But loving spending time with my baby, and not having to go to the NICU to see her.

The 'going-home' outfit. The nurses would often wrap her up like a burrito baby. She looked like a head and a torso. This pictures shows how she likes to curl up her legs, so it looks like she's only 12" long instead of 18" when her legs are stretched out. So cute!!

Drowning and uncomfortable in her car seat.

Funny story, the onsie came from a pile that Annie gave us and the hat came from a neighbor who gave us a box full of clothes. They match. Cute!!

Blurry, because she kicks her legs so much, but this is day 4 of life and I'm showing how her foot is still bruised. It was pretty black the first 2 days, but getting more and more pink as they days go on. Also, the toe right next to the big toe on each foot was sticking straight up when she was born. We are glad they are now matching the rest of her toes.

Grandpa Steve (my dad) holding Leah. She is pretty much the most content baby I have ever known. And I'm so lucky she's mine. She basically never cries. Only fusses a little bit if I'm not fast enough finishing a diaper change or getting food into her mouth. Other than that, she sleeps, kicks, sneezes (that are cute enough to melt my heart), smiles, hiccups, and looks around when her eyes are open. An absolute angel baby!!!

Concerned kissy face!!!

Hello, Daddy!! This bow is bigger than my head!! Welcome home from your first day of school. I'm glad you only have 3 hours of classes on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and one more class Wednesday nights this semester. That means you will get to spend lots and lots of time with ME!!!

Finally getting some Mommy time after having so many visitors the past few days. I can't get enough of this girl. Every time I look at her I am filled with so much love and amazement. Heavenly Father trusts us enough to be her parents and has given us the most incredible opportunity to raise her. The instant love of a parent for a child is more than I could have ever imagined. Helps me realize the love Heavenly Father has for me and how much my parents love me as well. What an amazingly wonderful thing!!

4 1/2 days after delivery. Ok, so I still look pretty fat, but it seems SO much smaller than I was a few days ago. It's nice to not have her head poking me in the ribs all the time!!

Photo shoot!! Thanks, Annie for the outfit and bow. They are adorable on her.

Glowing in her little light bed. Let those special lights heal you tonight, little Leah. Mommy and Daddy want to hold you again.

Biliruben beds are so much cooler than they used to be. She doesn't have to be fully exposed underneath a harsh light and have to wear a mask because of the bright light. Instead, she gets velcro-ed into this cute little gown with arm holes and the light glows from under her.

Mommy and Daddy love you, princess Leah!!

Congratulations! She really is adorable!
She is adorable! I am so glad I get to bring you a meal so I can see her! James loves all the pictures her. He wants to look at every one.
Ok, you just made me cry. Not sure if it's the lack of sleep I've had this week (3.5 nights of up all night) because of Adelynn being sick or what, but you just put in words what I feel like for my kids and I couldn't contain myself. :) Sure love you and can't wait to come snag some holding time for myself!!!
p.s. You're welcome for the outfit and enormous bow... it didn't look so big when I made it :)
Only one thing to say: Aaaaaaawwwwwwwww!
So fun!! You're already such a darling momma. Leah is lucky to have you two and so much love!
Her grandma misses her!
I'm ready for more pictures. Amazing how much I miss her.
