On Saturday we went to the Cache Valley Demolition Derby. Our friends the Bergs and the Dearingers were there, too!!! (Notice how the girls pose cute, and the boys are silly! I'm sensing the need to crop this picture! jk.)

This is what Leah thought of the Derby!!

Here is our little family at the Derby.....with a pile of smoking trucks in the background! Oh yeah!!! :)

During the second heat, one of the trucks got pushed over the edge and flipped upside down. They had to bring in the fire truck, ambulance, and paramedic vehicles and use the 'jaws-of-life' to cut the driver out of his truck. He was probably upside down for about 40 minutes, but he was fine! Because of that, they brought in a big water truck and sprayed down the arena so the next trucks wouldn't have as much traction to hit so hard and cause as much damage. It was a big, muddy mess, but it was still awesome!! Right when they were getting ready for the final smash down, it started raining lightly. Then 2 minutes later the power went out and the whole arena went pitch black. They ended up canceling the last part because the power never came back on. Turns out that half of the city was out of power for 2 hours.

This was Leah's outfit on Saturday. Newborn size. Notice how baggy the pants are. I bet she could fit in them twice!! I sure love my tiny, little baby!!

Saturday night I made these!!

So they would match her outfit....

And so she'd match me!!!

I've had my skirt for a long time, so when we found out we were having a girl, I used the scraps to make the dress, diaper cover, and scrap flower. Also notice the super huge baby tights. It's my favorite!! And the shoes completed the whole ensemble!

She started fussing when I laid her down for a nap. Apparently she wanted to wear a necklace instead of a headband. Silly girl!!

Church was exhausting!!

But she slept through the whole thing.

Today I thought I'd capture more pictures while she was asleep. She's too wiggly to photograph when she's awake. All the pictures turn out blurry because she moves around too much. So, enjoy the sleepy pictures! We sure think she's adorable!!!

And she is!! Great to see her in person!
I love it when babies are trying to open their eyes and they get the cute wrinkled forehead-- like Leah's last picture. So cute!! Love the matching outfit. You are super tricky.
